Queer Like Me

Focusing on the friendships of queer college women of color at southeastern women’s colleges, this narrative study highlights the supportive nature of these relationships. It introduces the Multiple Marginalized Identity Integration Model (MMIIM) for mental health professionals to aid in creating effective interventions. The author discusses the significance of the term "queer" and provides personal insights, alongside a case conceptualization to guide college counselors and academic staff in their approach to supporting these students.
