Meer over het boek
Sabine Baring-Gould, born in 1834 in Devon, England, was a prolific writer with over 1200 works, including famous hymns. His education at Cambridge led him to ordination in 1864, where he met and married Grace Taylor, with whom he had 15 children. After inheriting family estates, he wrote numerous novels and studies on folklore, notably "The Book of Were-Wolves" and "Curious Myths of the Middle Ages." His lifelong bronchial illness and deep love for Grace marked his life, culminating in his death in 1924, where he was buried beside her.
