This study investigates how various factors—such as sex, age, marital status, education level, clinical diagnosis, treatment type, and social support—affect stress coping mechanisms in adult oncology patients at Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital. Utilizing a quantitative, cross-sectional, and correlational design, it involved 100 patients aged 18 to 80. The research employed established questionnaires to assess coping strategies and social support, aiming to uncover significant relationships between these variables in the context of cancer treatment.
