Larry Johnson's journey reflects his commitment to peace and activism, beginning with his conscientious objector status during the Vietnam War and service as an Army medic in Germany. Inspired by JFK's call to action in 1961, he embarked on a 50-mile hike, and later, at age 61, he hiked 61 miles down Highway 61 with his grandson. To celebrate his 70th birthday, he completed a 70-mile hike, showcasing his enduring dedication to both family and his principles.
