Set in the badlands of 1880s Kansas, a bounty hunter named Shooter embarks on a quest to capture four outlaws, known as the "Dreams Made Flesh," who are manifestations of Cthulhu's fleeting thoughts. After successfully shooting one outlaw, he is left with perplexing mysteries as the corpse mysteriously disappears. Shooter's experience is further complicated by the fact that he fired multiple bullets without reloading, and his gun remained icy cold throughout the encounter, adding an eerie twist to his pursuit.
