'Elementary Language Practice' is the latest addition to this popular grammar and vocabulary practice series. Students will find the simple presentation of grammar easy to follow in this level. There are 90 concise units of grammar; each unit is kept short and explanations to a minimum at this low level, with frequent use of diagrams and cartoons to help explain each point. Particular focus is also given to functional language with units on areas such as greetings, excuses, directions and descriptions, agreeing and disagreeing. This gives students a wider view of grammar and vocabulary in context, in a variety of immediately useful everyday situations. Regular Consolidation Units are included to review and recycle after every six lessons to give students a real sense of progress. Units on British English and American spelling, punctuation and formation rules are also included.
