A troubled acting major's encounter with a bronze sculpture in Stanford's Rodin Sculpture Garden leads to the emergence of a naked, disoriented girl from the statue. Set in 2008, she is an eighteen-year-old with fragmented memories of her life in nineteenth-century Paris, where she served as Rodin's muse and had a passionate affair with him.
