The study explores the challenges faced by executive women in the workplace, particularly regarding their visibility and influence among male colleagues. It utilizes theories of self-efficacy, women's adult development, and mentoring to analyze participants' responses to a vignette of a board meeting where a woman's suggestions are overlooked. Through qualitative interviews and assessments, the research identifies nine strategies that help women assert themselves and highlights the importance of perceived self-efficacy and mentorship in fostering effective communication and recognition in professional settings.
