Big John Spada, a self-made millionaire, leads global enterprises while secretly funding Proteus, a movement aimed at freeing political prisoners. When his daughter Teresa is arrested in Argentina after aiding a gunshot victim, and her husband Rodolfo is also taken due to his critical writings against the fascist regime, Proteus devises a rescue plan. However, as the operation unfolds, Spada finds himself in the crosshairs of those opposed to Proteus, escalating the stakes for his family and their mission.
