The story follows Miles as he relocates to New Orleans to live with his jazz-loving father after his mother's remarriage. Their contrasting passions create tension, but when Hurricane Katrina strikes, they seek refuge in the Superdome. What begins as a hopeful escape quickly devolves into chaos as power outages and violence erupt. Faced with his father's rebellious decisions, Miles must confront a pivotal choice that will forever change their relationship and their lives.
