Beyond Second Kassite Cylinder Seals

Focusing on the overlooked role of Kassite craftspeople, this paper delves into the organization, production, and distribution of Second Kassite cylinder seals from the fourteenth century BCE. It seeks to connect humanistic, economic, and social aspects of ancient industries, contrasting them with modern beadmaking techniques in Khambhat, India. By integrating ethnography, history, and archaeology, the study aims to create a comprehensive understanding of Kassite craftsmanship, supported by evidence from Nippur and other relevant sites.
