Focusing on the intersection of theology and historical Jesus research, this work proposes a revisionist approach that integrates theological methods with the findings of the Third Quest historians (1980-2010). It critically examines how historians create representations of Jesus through their interactions with historical sources. The first volume emphasizes the analytical methods and values underpinning historical research, aiming to establish a balanced christology that neither fully rejects nor uncritically accepts historical interpretations of Jesus.
