The study focuses on the Triassic palynostratigraphy of the Croatian eastern Adriatic, revealing continuous sedimentation of evaporites and dolomites during the Ladinian-Rhaetian period. The Vlasta-1 well serves as a reference, correlating well with sites in North America, Europe, and Australia. The region experienced a stable semi-arid climate, with unique depositional conditions linked to an aborted rifting phase. Additionally, halokinetic tectonics, which influenced seismic activity, played a significant role in shaping the geological landscape, particularly through diapiric structures associated with basalt-andesite boulders.
