Focusing on the monitoring and stability of photomultipliers (PMTs) in the Surface Detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory, this research analyzes data from 1600 water Cherenkov tanks that capture air shower particles from cosmic rays. It involves tracking PMT performance over time and temperature, creating alarms for abnormal behavior, and classifying these alarms based on observed patterns. The study encompasses theoretical analysis of high-energy cosmic events, PMT functionality, and utilizes C++, Root, and MySQL for data analysis and alarm management.
