Local Self-Governance Reform in Kosovo

The establishment of local institutions in Kosovo since 2000 marked a significant shift towards decentralization and local democracy. Following extensive political debates, the first local elections were held in 2000, enabling citizens to elect their representatives and ensuring governance continuity post-war.
