William, a boy neglected by his single mother in Glasgow, faces a harsh reality after her death leaves him with an abusive guardian. Fleeing his troubled home, he hides in a lorry to London, where he survives by begging. His life takes a turn when he encounters a couple working on a global documentary about wildlife, offering him a glimpse of hope and a chance for a new beginning amidst his struggles.
