The value theory of musical style

Focusing on the artistic value of academic music, this study introduces a novel concept of value and style that examines the ontological status of musical works in relation to the creator's thinking style. It classifies various value approaches in modern musicology and proposes a method of value analysis centered on stylistic attribution. The method is illustrated through the piano music of French composer Louis Vierne. This research targets musicologists, cultural specialists, philosophers, and anyone interested in the theory and axiology of art.
