The story follows Chauncey McFadden, a Los Angeles private investigator, who is drawn into a complex case when a client seeks help to find his missing gay lover. Despite the LAPD's belief that the lover is dead, Chauncey's investigation reveals a series of mysterious and violent deaths among the lover's former co-workers at an insurance company. As the case deepens, Chauncey races against time to uncover the identity of a ruthless assassin before more lives are lost.
