It presents a novel perspective on rural accumulation in a polygynous society, revealing how it mitigates inequality while fostering technical innovation. The analysis highlights a unique African non-capitalist accumulation model that prioritizes family expansion and social networks over capital acquisition, challenging traditional Marxian and New Institutional Economics frameworks.
