This is a story of the American Civil War in West Virginia and Virginia, about a clash of family heritage, in a time when Mountaineers marched the breadth of the Shenandoah in the name of honor. These are the lives of three converging West Virginia families, Engle, Jarvis, and Martin, from the Kanawha River to Little Sandy River. Families steeped in patriotism, honor bound to defend their highlands.
