The Oedipus Trilogy, comprising Oedipus the King, Oedipus at Colonus, and Antigone, stands out among Sophocles' works, known for their profound exploration of fate, guilt, and moral dilemmas. Although they share a narrative thread, they were not originally intended to be performed together. Sophocles, a pivotal figure in ancient Greek tragedy, authored over 100 plays, of which only seven have survived.
