Amsterdam 1450 When Jacob gets wind of a scheme to alter the bible by bribing the Pope, his investigation leads him to the banker's daughter. As he attempts to keep his medieval hamlet safe, he understands that although they are Jews, they must pose as Christians. But in doing so, are they in danger of sliding into Christianity? Don't they have their own culture to preserve? How can they love and marry within their own religion when their beautiful daughters have begun to leave for church?
