In Cain's third novel, you will follow Lizzy, a beautiful - but naïve - young woman on her journey from rural Indiana to Hollywood, where she hopes to become a star. Her mobster boyfriend, Frank, reports to Al Capone and eventually brings danger to Lizzy and those she loves in Indiana. Cain masters historical allusion and juxtaposition, which adds richness to this novel. Truly an enjoyable read
