The fourth Demon Prince, Kirth Gersen, is one of the few survivors of the horrific massacre at Mount Pleasant on Providence, perpetrated by the five Demon Princes among unsuspecting settlers. He has sworn relentless vengeance and has followed their trail across the galaxy. Two names remain on his list, one of which is Husse Bugold. However, Bugold, now immensely wealthy, lives under the name Lens Larque, has entered the prospector business, and pursues enigmatic goals. He is cunning and skillfully avoids every trap Gersen sets for him. Yet, Gersen is not one to abandon his personal quest for revenge easily.
