By infiltrating Manila's elite and manipulating the Captain-General, Simoun encourages the upper classes to exploit the masses, ultimately aiming to provoke a revolt. This sequel to Noli Me Tangere explores themes of betrayal, revenge, and the struggle for justice in a corrupt society.
