I first told this story to my youngest grandson when he was four years old. Immediately after I finished, he looked at me and said, "Poppa, is that a true story?" So, I thought my answer might be worth sharing with all you parents. You can tell your little ones that someone once asked if this story is true. The answer is yes - the part about love is true, because love never fails, and it is always forever. The words in red are to let the little ones join in the storytelling process. As you read to them, encourage them to say the words in red along with you. Thank you. I hope all your little ones enjoy Brutus and Kneeknee as much as my little one did.
