Summer Solstice, her friends and their families are celebrating their graduation from middle school in their favorite picnic spot, Lambs Canyon. The teenagers go on a hike while they await their evening meal. Their destination the ten thousand-foot peak: Mt. Walamalee. A violent electric storm arises a strange light appears. Summer's curiosity catapults her and her friends into an adventure that takes them to the farthest realms of the known universe. Survival is their byword, and death their constant companion. Earthquake, volcanic eruption, uncontrollable disease and large beasts of prey contribute to a deadly struggle for existence. They become prisoners in the future of the Earth, unable to return to their own time. No one can save them now.
