A corn and carrot seed grew up together, but were separated when planting season arrived only to be reunited at harvest time. Each spent a period apart, unwittingly learning about the new world into which each would emerge and came out as better friends in the end. It is a story of enduring friendship told through an analogy of a farming season, through the eyes of a fourth-grader and adapted as a children's book when a note by the author's teacher was found thirty years later by her dad, saying: "Wonderful! you should get this published!"
