This book discusses the nature of consciousness as not being anything, being a Nothingness, and yet it is Being. The Not-self doctrine of the Buddha is used as a starting point in the evaluation of the subjective nature of consciousness. It also demonstrates that the Not-self doctrine refers to this absolute subjective consciousness and not to a lack of an being; that it is not a No-self doctrine.
