This volume presents the last major text on political theory published by Constant during his lifetime, the Commentaire sur l’ouvrage de Filangieri (1822–1824). It comprises the critical text of the original edition with manuscript variants, commentaries informing about the context of Constant’s work as well as a number of additional documents.
