Oxford Reading Tree continues to be the nation's favorite reading scheme, helping countless children learn to read with beloved characters. We are excited to present a fresh new look for today's children, teachers, and parents, featuring vibrant new covers and engaging artwork. Alex Brychta's unique style captivates children and enhances their reading experience with newly illustrated core stories from Stages 2 to 5, making the series more appealing than ever. The stories that have always inspired children's imaginations remain unchanged, except for the addition of an exciting new story at Stage 3, "The Egg Hunt," which replaces "Dolphin Pool." In response to feedback, we've simplified the structure: Owls Storybooks now encompass Stages 6 and 7; Magpies cover Stages 8 and 9; Wren stories at Stage 2 are now patterned stories at Stage 1+; and Wren stories at Stage 3 are now patterned stories at Stage 2. To support teachers, we offer new teaching materials alongside existing guided reading cards, designed to meet contemporary needs. Each pack includes flexible, friendly teacher's notes, easy to store and time-saving. Additionally, new Take-Home cards for every Storybook from Stages 1 to 9 are available to assist parents or carers in maximizing their child’s reading experience. A free resources website provides downloadable photocopy masters, along with a new Teacher's Handbook and a special edition for Scotland.
