CINERARIA (Dusty Miller) is noted for treating cataracts and corneal opacities, applied externally with one drop instilled into the eye several times daily for months. CINNABARIS (Mercuric Sulphide) is effective for specific ciliary neuralgia and ulcerations of a syphilitic nature. Symptoms include pain radiating from the lachrymal duct to the temple and severe shooting pain in the orbital bones. Redness of the eye and a pressive sensation in the nose, resembling heavy spectacles, are also noted. In the extremities, pain may extend from the elbow to the hands.
