Meer over het boek

... During my twelve years as a bookseller I had been helped over numerous crises of staff shortage by Mark Mitchells, a young English master at Woodbridge School, whose appetite for books far outran his income. In spite of his profession, he had the enthusiasm and instincts of a true entrepreneur and we made an excellent team. He was also a keen photographer and, as the years went by, the idea of a colour book of Suffolk began to form. In 1981 when I had decided to leave bookselling, I put it to Mark that if he would tackle the photography we should stop talking about it and actually get on with the job. Thus it happened that two amateurs, plus Mark's wife and photographic assistant Elizabeth, with no knowledge whatever of printing or publishing, got together and for the love of Suffolk and the sheer fun of doing it, produced this book. - from the author's Introduction
