  1. A magical portal to the Plane of Fire vanishes into the sun after creatures exit for the first time in history. This is followed by an overwhelming telepathic burst from within the sun, prompting a scientist to recruit heroes to investigate. Their mission leads them to the Burning Archipelago, a bubble city in the sun's atmosphere, and to Asanatown, a lashunta enclave, where they aim to meet another scientist for assistance. However, the recent psychic disturbance incites radicals among the telepathically sensitive lashuntas to act, sealing off Asanatown from the rest of the city. Trapped, the heroes must rescue their contact and restore power to the rightful authorities to escape. This adventure is designed for four 1st-level characters and kicks off the Dawn of Flame Adventure Path, a six-part campaign uncovering a plot threatening the Pact Worlds sun. It features a gazetteer of Asanatown, insights into the sun-worshiping faith that founded the Burning Archipelago, and new monsters from the sun and other planes.   2. Hired guns Now employees of the Deep Cultures Institute, the heroes are set to investigate what's happening in the sun. Burglars in the DCI museum throw that plan askew by stealing the institute's data. The missing files are compiled and cross-referenced rumors on potential intelligent life inside the Pact Worlds' star, none of them substantiated. Who might want such speculation, and why? Following the robbers' path takes the heroes to the bubble-city of Corona and the infamous, unstable Brass Bazaar, where they learn the thieves weren't the only ones interested in the DCI's guesswork. The heroes must uncover who has the stolen data, find out where it's stored, and extract it. In the process, they discover more than they bargained for!
