The Autobiography Of Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin's autobiography offers a personal glimpse into his thoughts and character development, written primarily for his family. Composed between May and August of 1881, it was published posthumously in 1887, though significant edits were made by his son, Francis, omitting Darwin's critical views on Christianity. In 1958, to commemorate the centenary of its original publication, his granddaughter Nora Barlow restored the omitted sections, providing a more comprehensive account of Darwin's life and beliefs in a revised edition.
