Enchiridion

Epictetus, a former slave with a physical disability, teaches that true freedom comes from controlling one's desires and living in harmony with nature. After gaining his freedom, he dedicated his life to philosophy, emphasizing self-examination and acceptance of one's circumstances. His teachings were compiled by his pupil Arrianus into the Enchiridion, a practical manual providing guidance for achieving tranquility and contentment. This work serves as both an introduction for newcomers and a resource for those already on the path to a fulfilling life.
